I have had an excellent week, filled with fun activities and lots of stitching time so there is lots to blog about today. As you know, I like to cross stitch in the car. This week, I finished off the light purple lupin on the right side of my cross stitch project and now I am working on the lighter green coloured leaves at the bottom. There are also a few more pink stitches to add, but I will soon be doing the outlining stitches.

When my friend, Christine, asked me what I was sewing at the guild sewing day, I told her a little white lie. I told her that I had worked on my sew together bag and that I had finally finished it. She asked me to send her a picture, which I "forgot" to do, until today, when I actually finished it!
It's true. My friend, Christine and I have attended two quilting retreats in March, two weeks apart. (We won't mention that we were away for a week at the end of February at QuiltCon in Raleigh, NC...). This is the end of our quilting retreats for until November, when we have two more. We are both very productive on the retreats and manage to get lots of sewing done. read moreA few months ago, Rachel from @citrusandmintdesigns put out a call for "Clementine Ambassadors" to help showcase her newest fabric line, Community. I filled out the questionnaire, not really holding out much hope. I was so surprised when she included me, had me choose a project and sent me the fabric.
I chose to make a Sew Together Bag (pattern by Sew Demented) as it is a good way to use a lot of different fabrics in one project.
I chose these four for the outside of the pockets.
